Dad's Rights

People have come to know Attorney Irwin M. Pollack as a tireless crusader for fathers’ rights.  Pollack defends dads who are mistakenly viewed as secondary parents.  He and the other attorneys help with litigation and negotiation strategies while always focusing on what’s in the best interest of the children.

When you think of fathers’ rights, you think of Attorney Pollack.  Irwin says it best:

“When it comes to guiding fathers successfully through the legal system, I love my job.  People think it must be depressing to hear one sad story after another, but it is not – especially when it comes to giving other fathers, just like me, the confidence and courage when they have to face their fears, uncertainties, and doubts about the outcome of their cases and their future roles with their children.” To learn more about our firm, contact us, or schedule a consultation.

There are some mothers who alienate children against fathers, withhold visitation, make false allegations of abuse or deny access to school or medical records.  They want you to be frozen out of the picture altogether.  Our firm tells you how to deal with these circumstances calmly and rationally.

If you are served with a Complaint for Divorce, restraining order, arrested, or your children’s mother abruptly leaves or wants you to move out, you have an emergency on your hands.  This calls for prompt and aggressive legal representation.

Disputes are sometimes settled at the last minute – right before the court appearance.  As agreements or orders are hastily scribbled on legal pads, our attorneys adhere to a common list of visitation rights that are most often included in any order:

  • Regular telephone conversations with the child
  • Unopened and uncensored mail, e-mail and other communication with the child
  • Prompt notice of hospitalization or major illness
  • Access to school and medical records
  • No derogatory remarks by either parent in the presence of the child
  • Notice of participation in extracurricular events
  • Itinerary and contact numbers if the other parent leaves the Commonwealth

Because of jobs or other events in your life, there are times you may need to modify your agreement.  In those cases, you’ll need to show a material change of circumstances.  To learn more about father’s rights, contact us for a consultation in our Dedham, Andover, Worcester or Plymouth offices.
