Temporary Orders

Once a divorce action begins, the court has ways of settling imminent financial and child-related issues in order to establish the status-quo.  Temporary orders are made by the court and are valid until the court holds another hearing or until you arrive at your own settlement.  Along with mandating that the parties to attend court-approved parent education classes, the court may make other orders pendent elite.  (“Pendent elite” is a Latin phrase that means “while the action is pending.”)  If the person obliged to make such payments fails to do so, a judge could order the payments and take steps to enforce that order, by garnishing wages or bank accounts or holding a person in contempt of court.  Our attorneys are skilled at competent and zealous representation at the temporary order stage of a domestic relations action.
